The Ultracarb® Ceramic replacement water filter cartridge harnesses the power of activated carbon to remove chlorine and organics from your water. Manufactured in EPA-registered premises, the ceramic filter candle is fitted with an activated carbon block containing lead removal media to eliminate this contaminant from your water too. It makes an ideal alternative to the now discontinued Supercarb filter and requires a 1/4″ BSP fitting as used in the current Doulton HCP & HCS countertop water filter systems.

The Sterasyl ceramic is fitted with both an activated carbon block and an ion exchange resin insert to produce the Ultracarb. Among other things, activated carbon is very effective at removing chlorine and organics from water. The ion exchange resin specifically removes lead from water. Ultracarb is designed to be used in pressure filters (on a mains water supply), not in gravity filters. Benefits: Ultracarb has all the benefits of Sterasyl removal of particles, pathogenic bacteria (E. Coli, Vibrio Cholera, Shigella, Salmonella Typhi, and Klebsiella Terrigena), cysts (Cryptosporidium and Giardia) with additional chlorine, organics (Insecticides, Herbicides, Phenols, Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons, and Trihalomethanes) and lead removal capabilities.
Genuine Doulton Ultracarb Replacements for Doulton Countertop (HCP) unit, the Doulton undercounter (HIP) unit, and other products that utilize a thread mount candle type cartridge. Also called CU1200 and DUC-1000, this filter fits the HIP, HCP, HIS, HCS, IP100-300UC, CP100-300UC models.
Ultracarb® Ceramic cartridge can be cleaned and reused many times.
All Doulton ceramic cartridges are bacteriostatic – that is, self sterilizing for bacteriological safe cleaning and handling.
